One of the most scenic drives in the world!ARUN BENNY, 2026
Driving along the Icefields Parkway was an unforgettable experience. The views were absolutely breathtaking - towering mountains, turquoise lakes, glaciers, and endless stretches of untouched wilderness. Every few kilometers, there was a spot to pull over and admire the scenery or take photos.
We stopped at several iconic spots along the way, like Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, and the Columbia Icefield. Each location felt like a postcard come to life. The road is well maintained, and even though it's remote, there were plenty of rest stops and information boards to learn about the area.
Highly recommend filling up your tank and bringing some snacks - cell service is limited, but that just adds to the sense of adventure. Whether you're driving from Banff to Jasper or the other way around, this route is a must-do in the Canadian Rockies.

If you are up around Canmore, Banff or Lake Louise you need to do this.Phil T, 2026
If you are up around Canmore, Banff or Lake Louise you need to do this. We stayed in Canmore which added an hour or so to the drive but well worth it. We toured the glacier and drank water from eat. The history of the area and formation and recession of the glaciers is fascinating. There is also a sky bridge viewing deck close by. Suggest getting tickets and a tour time before going. Stop at Bowlake and Peyto Lake on the way or back. There is a lodge with facilities at Bow. Not many bathroom stops on the road so keep your eyes peeled and prepare
